Wodenco Threading Insert
Wodenco Negative Angle Turning Insert

These premium turning inserts are made of superior carbide grades for longer life and a smoother finish.

Negative-rake Turning inserts have a 90° edge and sit at an angle in the holder to provide a strong cutting force for heavy duty applications. They have cutting edges on both sides for twice the life of comparable positive-rake inserts.

Wodenco Turning Inserts Advantages:

  1. Wodenco Turning Inserts have high hardness (86-93HRA, equivalent to 69-81HRC), small coefficient of linear expansion, and stable shape and size during operation. This product has a good thermal hardness (up to 900-1000 ℃ and cutting hard materials with hardness up to 50HRC). Additionally, this product has great wear and tear resistance. The cutting speed of the cemented carbide tool is 4-7 times higher than that of high-speed steel, and the tool life is 5-80 times longer. The life of this product’s manufacturing molds and measuring tools is 20 to 150 times longer than that of alloy tool steel.
  2. Wodenco Indexable Turning Inserts avoids the defect of crack during brazing hard alloy. It is suitable for using a vapor deposition method to deposit a thin layer of harder materials (titanium carbide, titanium nitride and alumina) on the surface of cemented carbide blades to improve cutting performance.
  3. Because the Indexable Turning Inserts are standardized and produced in a centralized manner, the geometric parameters of the blade are easy to be consistent, resulting in stable chip control.
  4. Wodenco Indexable Turning Inserts has high strength and elastic modulus.

The compressive strength of cemented carbide is as high as 6000MPa and the elastic modulus is (4 ~ 7) × 105Mpa, which are all higher than that of high-speed steel.

Wodenco Turning Inserts has an excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Generally, it can resist corrosion by the atmosphere, acid, alkali, etc., and is not easily oxidized.

  1. The molded products do not need to be reprocessed or have to go through re-grinding.

Due to the high hardness and brittleness of cemented carbide, there is no need for cutting or regrinding after powder metallurgy forming and sintering.

  1. The surface coating of CVD-coated Wodenco cemented carbide indexable turning inserts improves the service life of the blade, cutting smoothness and the ability to bear impact. It is effective in medium and heavy cutting, high speed roughing and semi-finishing.
  2. Compared with CVD, PVD coating has no adverse effects on the environment and is more suitable for precision and complex tools.
  3. The composite coating indexable turning inserts can better meet the cutting requirements that cannot be met by a single coating.
  4. CBN Indexable Truning inserts are mainly used for processing particularly hard materials. Meaning materials that cannot be processed by cemented carbide blades, such as chilled cast iron and quenched materials.
  5. PCD Indexable Turning inserts are mainly used for the processing of non-ferrous metals. It is known as the hardest cutting tool to process work pieces with mirror-like effects. It can be completed at one time, with high speed and long life.
